ACCU Conference 2011

I've just spent three days at the ACCU 2011 Conference in Oxford. I saw talks on move semantics in C++ 0x, quantum computing, Git, Metacircularity in Lisp, CPU caching and the Last Computer Language, all given by superb speakers. There were hundreds of other people there who like writing code and the food was good. And I've never seen a dull talk by Scott Meyers.

It was fun and I learned a lot. If you get a chance to go next year I recommend you take it.

  1. Indeed there was pretty good selection of topics. My favorite talk was about Go.

  2. I, too, was tempted by that session. There were often things that sounded interesting scheduled simultaneously. Interesting lack of D this year.
